I've been wanting a mint creme lately that I can layer with some of my glitters and holo topcoats, so when I went hunting, I decided to pick up a bottle of China Glaze Refresh-mint, under the encouragement of Rach from Stuff (I) Swatched. The formula was super thick. It definitely needed to be thinned because it was almost a one coater. This swatch is with two coats of Refresh-mint. And of course I had to jazz it up, so I added an Ulta holiday exclusive, China Glaze Fireside Glow, a super sparkly rosy/gold/orange glitter with holo bits in it. It kind of reminds me of springtime and turquoise rocks and good times. I had to mess with the color setting a bit because it photographed more blue, so these pics have been tweaked a little.
Mmmm.

NerdLacquer Holy Grail
After ordering my first three NerdLacquers, I instantly craved some more! Holy Grail is described by NerdLacquer as " a super-fine-grained satiny linear holo in a dusty blue-green base with silver microglitter, medium blue-green iridescent glitter, and a liberal sprinkling of big square and hexagonal silver holo glitter. Oh, also? GLOWS IN THE DAMN DARK." Haha. Awesome description. The linear holo is pretty evident, my only beef is that the polish is a little too opaque so it covers of the holographic shape glitter a bit. I did three coats but I probably could have stopped at two.
Because this polish contains a few more expensive ingredients, it runs $16 instead instead of $10 like her other lacquers. However, the fact that it's holographic in two different ways is pretty awesome. I have not personally seen the glow in the dark aspect, but I'll have to do some experiments and get back to you.

Warpaint Beauty "Purple Haze"
Holy Bajeezus I love this polish. I haven't worn a good purple in forever. I was delighted to find this polish at Hot Topic, regularly $4 or $5, on sale for $2! Hot Topic seems to be stepping up their nail polish selection. I found Color Club magnetics, LA Girls, Warpaint Beauty, and some other fun brands I wasn't expecting. This sparkly purple totally called my name. Two coats, a little thick, but thinner is your friend! I see pink, purple, and blue sparkles depending on the lighting and the angle.
Yum!
